Welcome to St Hilda's and Dunedin
St Hilda's Collegiate School
St Hilda’s Collegiate School is located in the centre of the beautiful city of Dunedin, New Zealand. Our school enrols 450 girls aged 11-18 years old, including 16-20 international students. St Hilda’s Collegiate is a Christian school and has a family-like atmosphere.
Our students enjoy an inclusive and friendly environment where excellence and individual achievement in all areas is celebrated. In addition to the students’ academic studies, sporting and cultural activities our school supports their mental, emotional and physical well-being.
International Students can choose from a wide range of subjects and extra curricular clubs, attending classes and activities alongside our local students building intercultural connections and friendships. Specialised English language tuition is also provided for International students within their school timetable.
The Director of International Students will answer any questions you may have before you arrive and process your application. Throughout your stay, along with the school staff, they will support you both personally and academically.
The English Language Teacher (ESL) encourages effective communication among English language learners through individualised programmes. Reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar skills are strengthened in a supportive learning space.
Your Whanaungatanga Group is a small family-like group of students who meet three times a week with a teacher for a home room meeting and social activities.
Your International Buddy is a welcoming classmate in the same Whanaungatanga Group as you, who will look after you as you settle into St Hilda’s.
